Pixel Pantry Games LLC operates this website and is responsible for the personal data described here. For any question or request about your data, write to hello@pixelpantry.app.

Where European, UK or Swiss data-protection law applies, analytics runs only with your consent, and the email list on the consent you give by signing up. reCAPTCHA and the host’s server logs rely on our legitimate interest in keeping the site and the list working and free of abuse. Withdrawing consent stops future processing; it doesn’t undo what happened before.

If you submit the signup form, the following is stored, and nothing more:

Your name, IP address, browser, device, and location are not stored with your signup.

This site uses Google Analytics 4 to count visits and see which pages people read. When it runs, Google receives your IP address, the pages you view, and information about your device and browser, and sets first-party cookies (named _ga and _ga_…) so repeat visits can be told apart. That processing is governed by Google’s own privacy policy.

If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, none of that happens until you allow it. Analytics is not loaded when the page opens: you are asked first, and until you answer, no analytics cookie is set and Google is sent nothing at all — not even an anonymous signal that you were here. Choose “No thanks” and it is never loaded. Choose “Allow” and it behaves as described above.

Outside those regions analytics loads when the page opens. You can still opt out at any time with Google’s browser opt-out add-on, or by blocking analytics in your browser or with an extension. The site works exactly the same either way.

Your answer is remembered in your own browser’s local storage, under le-analytics-consent, so you are not asked again on every page. Two other values are kept in your browser: le-wishlisted, set for the rest of your visit when you click through to Steam, so the page can offer the email list afterwards instead of beforehand; and le-subscribed, set once you join, so you are not asked again. All three stay on your device and are never sent anywhere. In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, Cookie settings at the foot of every page lets you change your answer at any time. Clearing your browser’s storage for this site also forgets all three.

Advertising, ad personalisation, and ad-data sharing are switched off for everyone, everywhere, regardless of the answer above. Analytics data is never linked to an email address on the signup list, and is not used to build an advertising profile or to target ads.

Beyond the analytics described above, this site uses no advertising, tracking pixels or session recording. Its one embedded player, the trailer, loads nothing until you play it (see below). Fonts are served from this site rather than fetched from a font provider.

The teaser trailer is hosted on YouTube. Until you play it, the page shows a still image served from this site, and the trailer requests nothing from YouTube or Google.

When you play it, the player loads from youtube-nocookie.com. From that point YouTube receives your IP address and information about your device and browser, and may store data in your browser, under Google’s own privacy policy.

The signup form is protected by Google reCAPTCHA Enterprise, which distinguishes people from automated abuse.

reCAPTCHA is not loaded when you open a page. It loads only when you interact with the email field. From that point Google receives your IP address and information about your device and browsing behaviour on this page, and may set its own cookies, in order to score the request. That processing is governed by Google’s own privacy policy and terms of service.

If you never touch the form, reCAPTCHA never loads and Google receives nothing about your visit.

To send occasional updates about The Last Entry: release news and notes on how the game is being made. It is not used for anything else.

Your address is never sold, rented, traded, or shared with anyone for their own marketing. It is not used to build an advertising profile.

These service providers handle data on our behalf, under their own security and privacy obligations:

Google (Analytics, reCAPTCHA and Firebase), Netlify and Kit are based in the United States and may process your data there. Each relies on the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, with its UK and Swiss extensions, or on standard contractual clauses.

Your address is kept until you ask to be removed. There is no fixed expiry, because promising a deletion date only matters if it is actually honoured.

Unsubscribing removes you from future emails. Ask for deletion and the record itself is removed.

Google keeps analytics data for 14 months, then deletes it. The _ga cookies last up to two years, or less where your browser limits them.

You can ask, at any time, to see what is held about you, to have it corrected, to have it deleted, or to receive a copy of it. You can also object to its use or ask that it be restricted.

Two ways to act: click the unsubscribe link in any email, or write to hello@pixelpantry.app. Requests are honoured promptly, and no reason is required.

You will never be charged for a request, and exercising any of these rights will never result in worse treatment. Depending on where you live — including the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and several United States jurisdictions — these rights may also be guaranteed to you by law. They are offered here regardless of where you live.

If you’re in the European Economic Area you can complain to your local data protection authority; in the United Kingdom, to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk); in Switzerland, to the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner. We’d welcome the chance to put it right first, at hello@pixelpantry.app.

This site is not directed at children under 13, and signups from them are not knowingly accepted. If you believe a child has submitted an address, write to hello@pixelpantry.app and it will be deleted.

This site links to Steam, YouTube, Instagram, X, and TikTok. Once you follow a link you are on someone else’s website, subject to their privacy practices rather than these. Steam links carry a campaign tag identifying this website as the referrer; it contains nothing about you personally.

If this policy changes, the date at the top of the page changes with it. Any change that materially affects how your data is used will be announced by email to those on the list before it takes effect.
